MEETING INDIVIDUAL NEEDS

A sizable portion of our missions budget is directed toward Christian poverty relief. As Paul told the Corinthians, “the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God. Because of the proof given by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedience to your confession of the gospel of Christ and for the liberality of your contribution to them and to all” (2 Corinthians 9:12-13).

Here are some individuals we helped in 2021.

Malan Arzika

We helped with tuition and essential food and shelter for Malan and his family while he completed his theological studies to serve as a pastor in Niger.

Anza

Anza is a Christian taxi driver in Niger who volunteers his car to provide essential transportation to missionaries working with Sudan Interior Missions (SIM), and to other Christians. We learned of Anza’s need and gave to build a basic shelter for Anza and his family after his baby was born. Below are the Before and After pictures of his home.

Simeon Goga

Simeon maintains a close ministry relation to our missionaries in Croatia (Matt and Ellen Bjerk). Late last year (due to the loss of a vehicle) Simeon encountered a situation where he could no longer provide for his own family. The Bjerks put out a special appeal to their supporting churches and we responded to supplement basic transportation so that Simeon could continue to work and provide for his family. He sent a note of thanks speaking of how we have encouraged him and how we demonstrated what God has taught us in loving one another. The note included this picture of his family along with his prayers for us.
